THE IRISH STUDIES MINOR

Open to all undergraduates, the program draws from diverse fields such as history, literature, science, media, and more, to provide a holistic understanding of Irish identity, both past and present.

Requirements (15 credits)

To complete the Irish Studies Minor, students must take:

  • HI 255 – Celtic and Irish History 

  • One of the following English courses (Choose one):

    • ENG 229 – Experiencing Irish Literature

    • ENG 276 – Modern Irish Writing

    • ENG 277 – Irish Drama

  • Three electives in at least two different academic disciplines (9 credits total)
