ENG 299 – Ghosts, Changelings, and Mermaids: Tradition and the Body in Irish Writing

In this course we read Irish literature — poetry, fiction, plays, and essays —  at the intersection of disability, illness, the body, gender, sexuality, class, contemporary and historical medical approaches, folklore, and more.  This course is cross-listed in English, Irish Studies, and Health Humanities.

This course fulfils the Social & Global Awareness LAE requirement.
